How We Work

Clinical Wheelchair Specialists

Pre-Assessment

clockYou will receive a FREE phone call from your designated therapist (a wheelchair and seating specialist), who will discuss your disability, needs, requirements. The full assessment process will be explained to you and an indication given of the fee payable depending on the anticipated number of visits and duration required. The pre assessment phone call can last up to half an hour and is FREE.

Assessment

Once you decide to proceed, your therapist will arrange to visit you in your own home or other appropriate venue. Such an assessment typically involves an evaluation of your level of mobility, your environments, your lifestyle and your abilities. Your therapist will also perform a biometric postural analysis and will take specific measurements of you and your environment. This professional assessment is chargeable.

Follow Up

Once the equipment is delivered a follow up phone call will be arranged to ensure that the ordered specification have been met exactly and the client is fully trained in the correct use of the equipment.

Additional Services

Depending on the needs and clinical complexity of the client, CWS may recommend additional assessments or services to provide you with the optimum solution tailored to your needs. This will be discussed during the assessment stages.

Equipment Trial

CWS will upon request contact the relevant manufacturers / suppliers with the details and specifications taken from your assessment and arrange visits by their representatives in order to allow you to trial the equipment.

Hand Over

Your Therapist will arrange a joint visit with the Sales Representative to your home in order to set up the equipment precisely for you and discuss any further options you may require.
