If you need a wheelchair or have complex postural needs, Clinical Wheelchair Specialists can offer you an alternative to lengthy waiting lists to see a therapist. As an independent wheelchair user, we will be able to help you meet your wheelchair and postural needs independently of manufacturer or supplier.

YOU WILL BE SEEN BY A THERAPIST, NOT A SALESMAN

CWS is a clinically lead service, and so you will see an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist (all of whom are specialist and experienced wheelchair therapists) who will be able to assess your posture, your environment and your lifestyle from a clinical perspective.

Our experienced and trained staff will also assist you along every step of the way, whether you require a written assessment report of your seating and wheelchair needs with guidelines for potentially suitable products, or to take you all the way through the stages of trialling or setting-up your equipment.

Cushions and Postural Aids

As senior clinicians we will also advise you upon your best choices in cushions to suit your lifestyle; to protect your posture; and to prevent pressure sores. We will also assess and evaluate your pelvic and spinal posture to support good alignment or accommodate the more complex curves.
